My Forever Love - A Father's Day Tribute

"Bye Dad." "I love you!" "We will soon see." I said quietly as we have it placed in the front seat of our car. My husband is taking Matt Papa (my father-in-law) back to her home in Fresno.

drove out the driveway and down the road. I breathed a long sigh of relief. We had brought Dad home for three days, back to the place where he'd lived for the past 8 years. Readjusting back to our home proved more difficult than we had anticipated. Fresno Dad is home now and is happy there.

Matt slept every night on the couch next to his bed, because at 93 sometimes gets confused when he wakes in the night. Three weeks before Dad had operaciju.Kirurgija is a difficult process, and the father is gaining strength back quickly. He looked weak and fragile. He was pale, and often light headed.

Matt got little sleep because dad had severe pain in the hips and legs. Matt to massage your joints, again placed him on his bed and put pillows under and next to him.

When the morning came Matt went to work, and I took over. Breakfast and bath are on my agenda for my dad. Both were a complete failure. Dad nearly fainted three times, his catheter started leaking and keeps it proved to be much more scary than I imagined. Soon I was in tears. My sister came to help, and 3 hours later we were fixing breakfast. "I'm in way over my head." I cried to my sister. "We can not do it alone !"

Dad I could not stay at all. He needed 24 hours a day, minute by minute care and attention. Family and friends came to help us and others brought dishes.

The next day, Matt stayed with my dad when I went to work. Before I went to the father's room. It was Matt loving sponge bath dad, limb by limb. Having monitored the area, he would gently massage lotion on his dry skin. Step by step, from time to time, Matt will repeat this process until Dad was washed and dressed.

Being a dad is the youngest, Matt is now in the role of the love of his father's paternity. Sleeping next to his bed so it would not be afraid to massage your aches and pains, bathing, dressing and feeding his dad all the necessary components for its care.

As I write this I am filled with tremendous love and appreciation for Matt. I want him to know that every gentle act on the record and saw our heavenly Father, who is incredibly proud that he served his parents, his sons and me.

Matt led by example. Actions have always heard a lot louder than words ever could biti.Tako has always loved me, teaching his sons the role of a good husband and a faithful companion.

I have seen countless baseball pitches he was caught up in the backyard, wrestling matches he was engaged in when he was 3 boys in one, all the time he played the king of the mountain in the pool. Reading stories to our children, doing daily Bible reading and prayer with them have a life long values rooted in their hearts and minds forever.

I am eternally grateful for Matt. He is my forever love! I am so very proud of dad he is the man he became as he sought to ask the Lord every day. This Father's Day greetings you Matt and all the other dads who have sacrificed so many ways. We appreciate you so much!

Happy Father's Day!
